“Launch of Bajaj Finserv’s CPBFI in PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar”

 




 The PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM SD College for women, Jalandhar in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv launched a certificate program in banking, finance and insurance ( CPBFI) under Bajaj’s CSR initiative on 1st July 2021 ( Thursday) through online mode. The coordinator of this programme Mrs. Alka Sharma, head, PG Department of Commerce and Management told that CPBFI is a comprehensive and practical certification programme for bridging the gap between the skill sets required by the industry and the potential present in the college graduates.  She informed that CPBFI is a customised programme for the aspiring candidates in the field of Banking, Insurance and finance.

 

  The curriculum of the programme is a blend of domain knowledge and soft skills. It was attended by the 50 registered participants of the college from the B.com final year and M.com students. On this occasion Mrs. Amrita Naval Senior lead CSR ( Learning and Development ) from Bajaj Finserv was the chief guest and she told that this course included subjects like banking operations, insurance management and advanced business communication. The Bajaj Team present on the occasion included Ms. Archana Bhatt – senior manager – CSR, Training and Development operations, Mrs. Deepa, Senior Manager, training operations and Mr. Kanwaljit Singh – A lead team trainer associated with CPBFI ; CSR initiative of Bajaj Finserv ( empanelled as a Trainer for Investor Awareness Program by SEBI ).

 

Mrs. Amrita from Bajaj Team also talked about  Self Awareness Model under ‘Swaroop’  program as a part of CPBFI. The Principal of the college Dr.( Mrs) Kiran Arora was also present on the occasion and she encouraged the students to take active interest in the said curriculum that shall facilitate in transforming the students to be professionald and make them industry ready. Mrs. Arora also emphasized that such activities are helpful in preparing the students for join interviews and the corporate can also tap into a pool of young finance professionals.

 

              Mrs. Amrita told that the journey of CPBFI started with identifying the training needs by conducting a quiz for the students followed by this launch by CPBFI training program. At the close of the training, HR workshop shall be conducted by the Bajaj Team and appraisal/ assessment of the students shall be made leading to certification.

                   This online launch of CPBFI was also attended by the faculty members of the Department – Mrs. Rajni kapoor, Mrs. Renu Tandon, Mrs. Priya Mahajan, Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur and Mrs. Shikha Puri were present on this occasion. At the launch of CPBFI, two student coordinators were also nominated – Ms. Garima (M.com) and Ms. Ravneet kaur (B.com) for coordination between the college coordinators, students and the Bajaj Team. Mr. Kanwaljit Singh – Lead Trainer showed a video on CPBFI. and acquainted the house with the trainer(s) who were- Ms. Navneet Bindra ( Banking Operations), Mr. Ashwini puri ( Insurance Management) and Ms. Gurmeet Kaur ( Communication skills).

  Dr. ( Mrs.) Kiran Arora informed that the institution is at the final stages of signing an MOU with Bajaj Finserv for the conduct of such programmes in the future.
