The present pandemic has brought everything at a standstill. This
situation has affected the teaching and learning process to a great extent. But
it is the responsibility of educators to guide the students towards the right
career path. A step was taken in this direction by the PG Dept. Of Commerce
& Management that organized Digital counselling for the students of 10+2 (Commerce)
for all SD Instiutions of Jalandhar. The Principal Dr.(Mrs) Kiran Arora
highlighted the facilities , Concessions , Scholarships, Innovative courses ,
Interdiscplinary Courses , Skill Oriented Courses , Fees Structure, Bus
Facility and Teaching Pedagogy adopted in the College. Madam Mrs Alka Sharma,
HOD PG Dept. of Commerce & Management addressed the students regarding
various career options and avenues for Higher Education available to Commerce
students in particular. She also provided a comprehensive overview of the
profile of the Department of Commerce. The
counseling was conducted through the Zoom application so it was convenient as
well as knowledgeable for the students during the Covid situation. 23 Faculty
Members and 54 Students attended the session. There was a question answer
session for the students where they cleared their doubts with regard to various
courses available to the students of Commerce. Principal Dr.(Mrs) Kiran Arora
applauded the efforts of the department for arranging such sessions.
