Two girl
students of commerce department of PCMSD College for Women, Jalandhar brought
pride to the college by clearing their examination. UGC NET exam is a
competitive exam conducted by NTA on behalf of UGC on All India level. To
become an assistant professor, a large number of students appear during post
graduation, after that they appear for this exam. However, very few people are
able to clear it in the very first attempt.
It is really a matter of pride for SD College
that Kumari Veena of M.Com 2nd year of the college has already cleared the UGC
NET exam with 92% marks in the first
pass. Kumari Veena has always been a hard worker, she has just completed her
commerce studies. She is also a fine classical dancer with a multifaceted
personality and has given her performances at various levels.
It is indeed a matter of the pride for the
commerce department that another alumnus of the college, Kumari Shikha Sharma (2019 pass out) also brought
laurels to this institution by passing the UGC exam in her second attempt. The
Principal of the college, Dr. Kiran Arosh has congratulated the girl students
for this achievement, Smt. Alka Sharma, head of the commerce department and congratulated
the students from all the members.
