Workshop On Tally Prime

 

The PG Department of Commerce and Management organized a workshop on ‘Tally Prime’ on 10^th February 2024 (Saturday) in the computer lab of IT Block. The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. GS Multani, Col. (retired), presently Director, ICA Edu Skills Pvt Ltd., Jalandhar, and Ms. Ritika Verma, MBA (Finance, Marketing, and UGC-NET) from ICA Edu Skills Pvt Ltd., Jalandhar. The objective of this event was to give students hands-on experience in relation to Tally Prime.

Mrs. Shikha Puri, Dean, Commerce Club, introduced the eminent speakers and welcomed them. The resource person initiated and explained that tally prime is a one-stop business management software that caters to all the business requirements, from accounting and invoicing to inventory management, insightful business reports, and cash flow management, thereby improving business efficiency.

Exciting features of Tally Prime like - Simplified Interface, Insightful Business Reports, Invoicing and Accounting, GST/taxation, inventory management, cash flow management, Multitasking Capabilities, go-to feature, accessing business data online, and secured data were also vividly explained.

A complete knowledge of the workings of Tally Prime software was given via three case studies (problem sheets). Which were solved by students using the shortcut keys as given by the resource persons. The queries were raised simultaneously by the students and satisfactorily addressed by the resource persons.

Mrs. Shikha Puri, presented a vote of thanks. A total of 40 students of B.Com. and B.Com. (FS)-II^nd Semester and faculty members attended this workshop. It was a knowledgeable session that served as an opportunity for students to be updated on the new concepts of Tally Prime.
